The results of WSCA’s annual elections are complete and the new slate of leaders will guide WSCA.
Dr. Paul Mongeau of Arizona State University was elected First Vice President. Mongeau will take his office at the close of the WSCA convention in Reno. He will succeed to the position of President Elect in 2014 and plan the 2015 convention in Spokane. Then, he will become President in 2016 and Immediate Past President in 2017.
Dr. Fran Dickson of Chapman University has been elected as Second Vice President. In addition to overseeing membership recruitment over the next year, Dr. Dickson will run the Undergraduate Scholars Research Conference and the Graduate School Workshop and Open House at the Anaheim Convention in 2014.
Elected delegates to Legislative Assembly and serving two-year terms beginning with the upcoming convention are Dr. Marlia Banning of the University of Colorado Boulder, Sarah Blithe of the University of Nevada, Reno, Amy Fara Edwards of Oxnard College, Marnel Niles Goins of California State University, Fresno, Tara McManus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Kent Ono of the University of Utah.
